- Subject: Hacking video
-
- Hi,
-
- Thanks to all those who responded to my request for guidance on computer use
- guidelines and the acceptance by users of the aforementioned. I appreciate all
- responses. Someone left me voicemail to call them regarding this issue, but our
- voice mail computer hicupped and I lost the message.
-
- I also found out that the National Computer Security Conference is going to
- be held from October 13-16, 1992 in Baltimore, Md. I'll pass on more details as
- I get them.
-
- I recently ordered and just received the video tape "Military Computers
- Compromised" that is sold by 2600 Magazine. In my opinion, it is a must buy for
- those of you who feel that your security is "tight as can be". Although the
- quality of the video tape is "homestyle" and does not focus on educational
- computing, I was shocked, not at how easy hackers can get into a system, but at
- how lax system security is on military systems. I'm no UNIX expert, but the
- systems that were compromised were done so in a way that seemed incredibly easy.
-
- I recommend this video tape to EVERYONE. It's well worth the $10.
-
- I don't work for 2600 Magazine and am not endorsing their magazine, but the
- address for ordering the video is:
